Budding young artists up to grade 8 are invited to enter the Earth Day Coloring Contest hosted by the Wayland GREEN TEAM. The theme is "Earth Day Every Day."

Posters based on this theme should be on standard paper size of 8 ½ inches x 11inches, preferably on re-used or recycled-content paper, and can be created with any medium. Children are encouraged to be bold and creative and let their imaginations run wild! From crayons to fabric to paint to natural materials to recycled paper, the art medium choices are limitless. All artwork must be original. Each submission should include the artist's name, age, school, phone number and mailing address. There are four age groups, k-1, 2-3, 4-5 and 5-8.

All entries are due by Friday March 26, 2010 and may be dropped off in the box labeled “Earth Day Poster Contest” at each school. All submissions will be displayed at the Earth Day Celebration event at the Wayland Town Building on April 11th 2010. Winners will be chosen based on creativity and their posters will also be published in the Wayland Town Crier!
