The National Center for Race Amity (NCRA) at Wheelock College in Boston, founded by Dr. William Smith, a longtime resident of Sudbury, is hosting the first “Boston Race Amity Day Celebration” on June 12. Gov. Deval Patrick and Mayor Thomas Menino are the honorary co-chairs of this “Festival for the Human Family” which will take place from noon to 6 p.m. on Boston’s Rose Fitzgerald Kennedy Greenway and is open and free to the public.
