Wed., Sept. 19, 6:30pm-8:30pm, Wayland COA, Pre-registration required, $10
Be ready visually, verbally and physically to protect your personal boundaries.
You know you need car insurance even though you hope you never have an accident. You know you need a fire extinguisher even though you hope you never have a fire! YOU KNOW YOU NEED SELF-DEFENSE TRAINING EVEN THOUGH YOU HOPE YOU NEVER HAVE TO USE IT! This is a one evening, self-defense seminar to be offered at the COA. Learn to be assertive in protecting your boundaries – and if need be – to take physical steps to keep yourself safe. This seminar will include exposure to a trade marked system called PBSS (Progressive Boundary Setting System). PBSS places less emphasis on the physical side of self defense and greater emphasis on being visually and verbally able to protect your personal boundaries. Learn tried and true tactics geared for WOMEN! Nothing fancy or tricky! You will not need to be Bruce Lee or Chuck Norris to get the job done! This is a workshop in self-confidence and self defense. Class size is limited so register early.
Instructors: Robin Natanel and Erik Kondo
*Robin Natanel is a Master Tai Chi instructor and has had specialty training in women’s self-defense with Erik Kondo. Robin offers Tai Chi classes at the Wayland COA.
*Erik Kondo has been in involved in the study of self-defense and the martial arts for 20 yrs and holds a 3rd degree black belt in Jujitsu. Erik is the Founder of a self-defense non-profit “NOT-ME!” It is Erik who has developed and trademarked the innovative teaching tools of PBSS. You will be amazed; he teaches from his wheelchair.
