Fiscal conservatism carries the day in Wayland election

Wayland Town Crier 4/3/13: Fiscal conservatism carries the day in Wayland election. Fiscal conservatism ruled the day during Tuesday’s annual town election, as Tony Boschetto won a seat on the Board of Selectmen, while Donna Bouchard earned a spot on the School Committee. In the race to replace John Bladon, the current chairman of the Board of Selectmen who decided not to run for re-election, Boschetto defeated Gordon Cliff, a member of the town’s Audit Committee. Boschetto took home 1,512 votes to Cliff’s 1,224. The race on the School Committee side was slightly closer, as Bouchard received 1,443 votes to Jeanne Downs’ 1,307. Bouchard will replace Shawn Kinney, who decided not to run for re-election.
