NECN 4/14/13: Mass. cancer survivor running third straight Boston Marathon. Lynda Nijensohn is a mother, a wife, and a survivor. It’s been five years since she was first diagnosed with breast cancer. Since then, Nijensohn has endured more than three years of chemotherapy, radiation, and seven surgeries that included a double mastectomy. But tomorrow, for the third consecutive year, she’ll run the Boston Marathon as a way to help her own healing and a way to help others survive.
