Wayland Town Crier 3/21/14: Wayland screening spotlights Jews saved in Albania. The little-known story of how the men and women of Albania – more than 70 percent of them Muslim – saved nearly 2,000 Jews during World War II will be told in a local screening of the film “Besa: The Promise.” The event – sponsored by Temple Shir Tikva, the Islamic Center of Boston, and the Weston-Wayland Interfaith Action Group – will be held on Sunday, March 23 at 3 p.m. at the Islamic Center. A panel discussion will follow the film screening.
