Women Build is Habitat for Humanity’s program for women who want to learn construction skills and together build homes and communities. Women Build brings together women from all walks of life to address the housing crisis facing millions of women and children worldwide. In 2014, our affiliate will host Women Build in Wayland and Worcester.
Wayland (95 Stonebridge Road): Saturday May 3, Sunday May 4*, Tuesday May 6, Wednesday May 7, Thursday May 8
*May 4 will be a special Women Build Mother’s Day event. In honor of Mothers, for a pair of two the price is $150. Pairs are given priority for this day. Each day has morning and afternoon shifts. Morning shift is 9am-1pm. Afternoon shift is 12:00pm – 4:00pm. Both shifts include lunch.
To participate in the event, we ask for a minimum donation of $100, which goes into materials we use for the day and also Habitat’s ability to continue to build Habitat homes in our community. We’ve created a ‘Women Build Fundraising Packet’ to help any participants fundraise for the event. This can be found, along with sign ups and more information, on the Women Build webpage.
