Drug Take Back Day, April 26 at Wayland Police Department

On Saturday, April 26, 2014, the Wayland Police Department will participate in the “Prescription Drug Take Back Day” sponsored by the U.S. Drug Enforcement Agency. A Wayland police officer will be on hand from 10am until 2pm to process drugs that are turned in by the public at the Wayland Public Safety Building. Anyone may anonymously drop off prescription drugs at the Wayland Public Safety Building for proper disposal during the four hour time period established by the Drug Enforcement Agency. The Wayland Police Department also maintains a prescription drug drop-off box at the Wayland Public Safety Building where residence may drop off unwanted prescription medications at any time. Needles and “sharps” cannot be accepted at the event.
