The hours for All UNDERGROUND SPRINKLER USE shall be between the hours of 7:00 pm and 7:00am

The Wayland Board of Public Works requests that you limit your watering to two days per week.

The mandatory water restrictions are printed below:

Pursuant to Chapter 190 of the Town of Wayland By-Laws, the Board of Public Works has declared a State of Water Supply Conservation and has restricted the use of outdoor watering to odd/even day outdoor watering and has further restricted the use of underground sprinklers only between the hours of 7:00 pm and 7:00 am. The following restriction is in effect beginning July 28, 2014:

  1. Underground Sprinklers & Aboveground Sprinklers Attached to Hoses: Outdoor watering by water users with odd numbered addresses is restricted to odd numbered days. Outdoor watering by water users with even numbered addresses is restricted to even numbered days. On the day which watering is allowed, watering must be done between the hours of 7:00 pm and 7:00 am.
  2. Handheld Hose: Handheld hose watering is not restricted and is allowed at all times and on all days.

This restriction will remain in effect until a notice of termination is voted upon by the Board of Public Works and published in the Wayland Town Crier or such other means reasonably calculated to reach and inform water users. Additional restrictions may be enacted if the above restriction is not adequate to reduce water consumption. (This is a Conservation and Operational measure.)

The official notice is posted here.
