Donations sought for family of Happy Hollow employee who lost home in fire

hernandez fireHappy Hollow’s lead custodian, Willie Hernandez, and his family lost their home and all of their possessions last week in a fire.  Principal Jim Lee set up a donation website for their benefit (online here).  The Happy Hollow PTO is working on Volunteer Spot for donations of items they will need when they find a new home.

They need pretty much everything:  Cellphones, computer, furniture, clothing, kitchen stuff, bedding, etc.  Everything to set up a new home and get their two teenage daughters ready for school in less than 2 weeks!  People can leave donations in the clear plastic bin set up in the lobby of Happy Hollow or call Willie at 508-358-2120 x122 to make arrangements.

For details on the fire, see this article from last Wednesday’s Boston Globe.
