Proposed new tobacco regulations in Wayland

Wayland Town Crier 9/26/14: Proposed new tobacco regulations in Wayland. The Wayland Board of Health will hold a public hearing for changes to local tobacco regulations on Monday, Sept. 29 at 7 p.m. in the Wayland Town Building, located at 41 Cochituate Road. Changes include rescinding the existing local tobacco control regulations and adoption of two stronger updated regulations – a Tobacco Sales Regulation that includes Nicotine Delivery Products, and an updated Secondhand Smoke Regulation (Prohibiting Smoking in Workplaces and in Public Places). The town of Wayland joins almost 60 other Massachusetts communities in promulgating new regulatory prohibitions and guidance for tobacco sales.
