Wayland Town Crier 10/23/14: New Wayland salon launches ‘pink’ campaign. Visitors to the grand opening week of the new Salon Arte in Wayland will quickly sense the warm and welcoming atmosphere that emanates creativity. Part of their mission to create a strong and vibrant community is their current effort during October to launch a “Passionately Pink” campaign for the Susan G. Komen foundation. “Our efforts will support Komen’s work, which includes funding more breast cancer research, (and) community programs that provide mammograms, clinical exams and treatment assistance for the medically underserved.” People who donate at the salon are entered into a raffle for a chance to win one of six gift baskets, valued at over $1,000.
