Wayland-based Annie Rubin, principal of Annika Designs, and Newton resident Janna Sneider, principal of Swoon Design Studio, are two of the distinguished designers participating in Inspired Interiors, a holiday designer show house benefitting the Room to Dream Foundation and taking place at Van Millwork’s award-winning design center.

Inspired Interiors showcases a collection of individually-themed suites, each brimming with holiday décor. The event kicks-off with a grand opening fundraising gala on December 3 and will be open to the public daily December 4- 12. Visitors can stroll through the showroom, gathering holiday design ideas while helping children in need.

Rubin and Sneider are teaming up to decorate the showroom’s Library in a tribute to The Nutcracker. The design duo’s theme “Visions of Sugarplums” has them creating a whole-room vignette based on the color and special movement of the famed ballet. They plan to use pinks, plums and champagnes along with modern furniture to present a contemporary take on this holiday mainstay.
