Women’s Ice Hockey: Gilmore leads U.S. to gold in U18 World Championship

Wayland Town Crier 1/22/15: Women’s Ice Hockey: Gilmore leads U.S. to gold in U18 World Championship. Wayland’s Rebecca Gilmore led the U.S. women’s ice hockey team in scoring en route to capturing gold in the U18 World Championship. When Rebecca Gilmore made the United States under-18 women’s national ice hockey team last year as a 15 year old, she was admittedly a little intimidated about her surroundings. But she acclimated herself well, and notched two goals and an assist in the 2014 U18 World Championships in Budapest, Hungary, as the U.S. lost in the gold medal final to Canada.
