The holidays can be stressful for families: old wounds get rubbed open and old grievances resurface.  Yet, we still strive for a festive season, looking for glimmers of the warmth, acceptance, and love that we’ve seen before from our parents. Sometimes our hopes are rewarded; sometimes not. Brooke is particularly apprehensive about this year’s reunion. An up-and- coming novelist, she recently worked her way out of a breakdown by writing a memoir of her life – not the novel her family was expecting.  The story of the Wyeth family is due to come out soon and Brooke has brought the book home for her family to read. Her parents are decidedly not happy about this news. They are concerned that among other things, what she may reveal in her book could harm their hard-won social standing in the Republican Party. Their story unfolds in a kaleidoscope of perspectives and experience, leading to a stunning reaffirmation of family, responsibility, and love.

The cast for the show includes: Barbara Douglass (Newton), Deanna Swan (Framingham), Grace Sumner (Somerville), Will Dalley (Westford) and Nick Bennet-Zendzian (Somerville). The director, James Barton, is from Marlboro.
