president-hays-2012Who Needs It?  Higher Education in the 21st Century: Challenges and Opportunities with Antoinette Hays, Ph.D.    On Tuesday, December 1, at 7:30 p.m. the Wayland Library Great Presenters Series will feature Wayland resident Dr. Antoinette Hays, President of Regis College. Dr. Hays will discuss how we can ensure that our whole population receives an education that will allow full and continuing participation in this dynamic period of American economic history. At Regis, Dr. Hays has been instrumental in developing and implementing new programs and in recognizing that graduate education in service of the health professions currently defines Regis’s particular avenue to the future in the higher education and healthcare environment of greater Boston. Dr. Hays received her doctorate from the Heller School, Brandeis University. In addition to her expanding roles at Regis from Professor to Dean to President, she has, since 2007 (pre-Haitian earthquake), co-developed the Regis College Haiti Project aimed at educating Haitian nursing faculty.
