Residents speak out about School St. project

Wayland Town Crier 3/7/17: Residents speak out about School St. project. Neighbors remain steadfast in opposing a proposed 12-unit Chapter 40B development planned for a School Street lot in Cochituate. “The project as proposed does not fit on this land and does not fit in this neighborhood,” Sheila Carel told a joint meeting of the Planning Board and Housing Partnership on Tuesday. Windsor Place LLC’s townhome project does not respect the area’s history, said Carel, who lives on Joyce Road. Residents filled the room for Tuesday’s meeting. More than 200 people have signed a petition opposing the project.
