Wayland Dads to run child care for Town Meeting

Wayland Town Meeting is an important annual civic event where getting the most residents to attend is in all our best interests.  But typically, fewer than 3% of registered voters attend. In today’s national political climate, we should aspire to set an example for how collaborative democracy works.  The system in place at Town Meeting is the purest form of democracy and we should embrace it.  Wayland Dads wants to do something to help more families with young kids attend Town Meeting.

Wayland Dads is coordinating babysitting for the Sunday (April 2nd) afternoon session and Monday (April 3rd) evening session of Town Meeting.  Babysitting will be located inside the High School and will be administered by multiple BASE teachers and High School students.  There will be games, activities, and movies for the kids.  Costs are ridiculously low per child – $20 for Sunday and $10 for Monday (discounts for multiple kids).  Here’s the link for more information and the way to RSVP one of these limited sports – http://www.waylanddads.org/childcare/.  If you can get babysitting on your own, please still make an effort to attend our Town Meeting and help shape the future of our town.
