Wayland Police solve larceny case

Wayland Town Crier 3/25/17: Kelly Walker charged with stealing jewelry, electronics in Wayland. A Framingham woman already facing gun charges in Middlesex Superior Court is now facing larceny charges connected to a theft earlier this month. Kelly A. Walker, 36, of 79 Phelps Road, will be arraigned in Framingham District Court on May 2, charged with one count of larceny of more than $250. On May 9, a resident reported the theft after contractors had worked at the house on March 6, police wrote in a release.

The Wayland Police submitted the following press release:

On Thursday, March 9, 2017, a Wayland resident reported that a past larceny had occurred at their residence while they had contractors at the residence for work being done on March 6, 2017.

An investigation by Wayland Detective Sergeant Jamie Berger was started and revealed that one of the workers at the residence had stolen electronics and jewelry that belonged to the resident.

Jewelry was recovered in Brockton. The defendant, Kelly A. Walker, 36 of Framingham, admitted to the theft and was subsequently summonsed to Framingham District Court for arraignment which will occur on May 2, 2017 for one count of Larceny over $250.
