The Wayland Schools’ Green Team reminds you to recycle ALL textiles – while generating much needed PTO funds for all our schools. Wayland averages $150 per month – let’s double it! Donation bins are at each of our 5 schools and the town landfill.
In the United States, each person throws away about 70 pounds of clothing and textiles each year. Those items take up space in landfills or they get incinerated, creating toxic fumes. You can help by donating or recycling clothes, shoes, towels, sheets, stuffed animals, and other household textile items.
