Wayland-Weston Rowing Association’s Ergathon, September 23

The Wayland-Weston Rowing Association is celebrating the beginning of the fall 2017 season with the annual Ergathon, a fundraising and community event at Wayland Town Beach on Saturday, September 23, 8am-12pm.

The rowing club welcomes the community to join in learn-to-row opportunities on the rowing machines and a hot pancake breakfast. There will be a raffle, with funds raised going to new equipment purchases for the student-athletes. Student-athletes will compete together on the rowing machines to collectively row 624,000 meters during the morning event.

WWRA supports a highly competitive high school team with 110 students from Wayland and Weston High Schools, a community-wide middle school program with thirty students participating this fall, and an adult recreational team. WW takes to the Textile River Regatta in Lowell on Sunday, October 1 to kick off their racing season.
