Sudbury-Wayland-Lincoln Domestic Violence Roundtable is an all-volunteer nonprofit organization of men and women incorporated in 1999. The goal of the Roundtable is to raise awareness about the issue of domestic violence through community education and networking and to improve the coordination between public and private services for victims and families touched by domestic violence.

Vanu Bose, software pioneer and MIT Corporation member, dies at 52

MIT News 11/11/17: Vanu Bose, software pioneer and MIT Corporation member, dies at 52. Vanu Bose ’87, SM ’94, PhD ’99 [and Wayland High School ’83], a leading software executive and a member of the MIT Corporation with deep ties to the Institute, died on Saturday at age 52. The cause of his death was a sudden pulmonary embolism. Bose was the founder and CEO of Vanu, Inc., an innovative firm that provides wireless infrastructure globally and was the first company to receive certification for software-defined radio from the U.S. Federal Communications Commission.

Just a month ago, Vanu and his company were receiving press coverage for their work helping to restore cell coverage in Puerto Rico, and a few weeks ago Technology Review covered his efforts in Africa.
