We are seeking six parents who are willing to serve on the Selection Advisory Committee (SAC) for the Director of Special Education to replace Marlene Dodyk. Marlene is retiring in June after over thirty wonderful years serving the parents, teachers, and students of Wayland.
The SAC will be comprised of two building administrators, five WTA members (at least three in Special Education), three WESA/TCW members, six parents, one Central Office administrator, and one Central Office administrative assistant. The Committee will be charged with the review of all resumes, interviewing candidates and recommending at least three finalists.
If you would like to be on the SAC, please email kerri_mulvey@wayland.k12.ma.us. If there are more than six parents who would like to serve, we will look to fill the slots by balancing the make-up of the committee. Please express your interest by Friday, January 26th.
Our first meeting is scheduled for Wednesday, January 31st from 3:30 PM to 5:00 PM in the School Committee Room at Central Office (Town Building). You’ll leave that meeting with a good sense of our process and procedures, as well as how to prepare for the next meeting.

- February 6 (8 AM-5:00 PM)
- February 7 (8 AM-5:00 PM)
(February 6th and 7th are reserved for interviews. We may not need all the time allotted for this purpose, but we need to reserve the time.)
