Wayland High School A Cappella Groups Gearing up for Spring Concert

Wayland High School’s talented a cappella groups are hard at work preparing for the Spring College A Cappella Concert on Saturday, April 7, starting at 7:30 pm.  This annual concert is a wonderful way to welcome spring to the Wayland community!

The concert will be held at Wayland High School Auditorium and will feature our own talented Wayland High School Madrigals, T-Tones, and Muses, along with three outstanding college groups — the Vassar Devils, featuring Wayland’s Sophia Calder; University of New Hampshire Not Too Sharp; and Northeastern Pitch, Please!  WHS seniors Zach Dresens and Kayla Mabe will MC this fun spring tradition!

The Wayland High School a cappella groups are also hard at work on a CD that will be ready for release before the end of the school year.  Come hear the results of their hard work, featuring creative arrangements, talented singing and spirited choreography! A cappella attracts some of the most talented singers on college campuses, and the college groups featured this spring are certain to impress and entertain!

Priced at $18, tickets are NOW available at Donelan’s, Russell’s Garden Center, and online at the WHS CAPA website, www.whsarts.org . Tickets to these concerts frequently sell-out, so purchase early to guarantee a seat! You can find pictures, videos, and additional information on the concert’s Facebook page at www.facebook.com/collegeacappella/, and on the CAPA website at www.whsarts.org .

The bi-annual college a cappella concerts (fall and spring) are the primary fundraisers for the Creative Arts Parents Association (CAPA), the organization that supports all Wayland High School arts, music and theater programs.
