Documentary Film: A Small Good Thing

April 29, 2017 @ 2:00 pm – 3:30 pm

5 Concord Rd
Wayland, MA 01778

We’ve been living as though the more we have, the happier we’ll be, but over the last fifty years as our standard of living has improved, our happiness has not. A Small Good Thing, filmed in western Massachusetts, examines how the ideal of the American Dream has come to the end of its promise. Telling the stories of people moving away from a philosophy of ‘more is better’ toward a more holistic concept of happiness, the film asks whether we can change our larger goals as a nation and learn from the rest of the world about the small truths that are the sources of human happiness. 71 minutes.  Discussion to follow.

This event is co-sponsored with Transition Wayland in celebration of Earth Day.
