League of Women Voters of Wayland Hosts Discussion of Selected Town Meeting Articles
Senior Center, Town Building
Thursday, March 9th, 7:30 PM

Residents are invited to listen to brief presentations followed by an opportunity to ask questions.  Do you know what a demolition delay is, its purpose, and what it means for owners of historic properties?  Petitioners will ask the town to eliminate single-use plastic bags and polystyrene food containers.  If the article passes, how will this affect you, the stores that provide these materials, and the environment?  What is the next step in the process of considering a new library?  This is your opportunity to learn about these and other articles that will be on the warrant for Town Meeting. The League will also host its 67th Candidates Night Forum on Thursday, March 16th, 7:30 PM as well as a forum on the big financial picture on Thursday, March 30th, 7:30pm.  All of these meetings are intended to help residents prepare for and make informed decisions.  Town elections areTuesday, March 28th and Town Meeting begins on Sunday, April 2nd.  We encourage you to come, listen, ask questions, and participate in your town government.
