Wayland High student wins national art award
We are pleased to announce that Jameson Hunt, Wayland High School sophomore, has earned national recognition in The Scholastic Art & Writing Awards of 2013. Jameson has been identified by panels of creative professionals as one of the most talented young artists and writers in the nation. This year, 230,000 works of art and writing were submitted. Only the top 1% were recognized at the national level. These students have been invited to attend a ceremony at the world-famous Carnegie Hall on Friday, May 31. The Carnegie Hall ceremony will also be webcast live at 6pm Eastern Standard Time. To view Jameson’s winning artwork, it will be featured in the coming months at the online gallery at artandwriting.org.
