FOUND! Hound Dog from Oxbow and Concord

On Tuesday August 30, we lost a rescue dog that we are fostering. He's a neutered male hound about 50 lbs, white with tan patches. His name is Duncan, but he may answer better to 'Butter'. Duncan was last seen early this morning (Thursday Sept. 1) near the corner of Oxbow Road and Concord Road. He was previously seen near the South side of Farrar Pond on the Lincoln/Wayland line. He's a bit skittish, and may run from people, although he is not aggressive. He may approach dogs more easily than people. If you see him, don't chase him, and if he won't come to you please email or call to report his location. Thank you. Barbara 508-523-4303 barbpos@comcast.net

After receiving nearly 20 complaints dating back to November 2007, selectmen formally banished the dog from Wayland in May 2010. The dog bit two people and had frequently run without its leash, officials said.

An order of permanent restraint was handed down in October 2009, along with an order to construct a fence, after nearly 20 complaints were received by the town – including for two bites and several unleashed incidents – dating back to November 2007.
