Wayland Town Crier 5/8/12: Event honoring Wayland High grad comes home. It seems only fitting that a collection of sporting events inspired by Katie Lynch and held in her honor in Newton for the past three years be hosted by her hometown and held at the high school she attended. In a highly anticipated and applauded move, Katie’s Races, previously called The Heartbreak Hill Half Marathon and Purple Shoes Challenge, will come home to Wayland this fall.
