Wayland Town Crier 10/7/10: Is Chapter 40B worth it? A look at ballot Question 2. Advocates on both sides of ballot Question 2 agree that Massachusetts needs more affordable housing. What they disagree about is whether a 40-year-old law meant to bring more units has delivered on its promise. Opponents and proponents of Chapter 40B will speak during a public forum on Thursday October 14 at the Wayland Senior Center. The forum is sponsored in part by the Wayland Housing Partnership, the Wayland Housing Authority and the League of Women Voters. Petitioners make last pitch before Town Meeting

Wayland Town Crier 4/15/10: Petitioners make last pitch before Town Meeting. Wayland residents Ira Sager, Mark Greenlaw and Alan Reiss, lead petitioners for three separate articles aimed at reforming town meeting to be voted on by residents at the annual Town Meeting beginning May 13, gave spirited presentations at a League of Women Voters forum on April 7.

Ira Sager, lead petitioner for Article 29, proposes the creation of a Town Meeting debate Web site. Visit his working version of the proposed site.

Mark Greenlaw, lead petitioner for Article 22, proposes separating debate and discussion of articles and voting of them, pushing the voting out to the polls. Learn more about his proposal at waylandvotes.org
