Wayland Town Crier 12/16/09: Wayland selectmen discuss Open Meeting Law case. The Board of Selectmen appeared slightly chastened Monday night as they responded to a resident’s accusation that they violated the state’s Open Meeting Law. George Harris has filed a complaint with the Middlesex district attorney’s office, saying a quorum of the board inappropriately met with U.S. Rep. Niki Tsongas, D-5th, on Nov. 24. State law requires that meetings of town boards be announced publicly ahead of time.

Wayland Town Crier 12/14/09: After tour with Tsongas, Wayland selectmen face open meeting complaint . Selectmen are scheduled tonight to discuss a complaint filed by local attorney George Harris that the board violated the Open Meeting Law Nov. 24 when U.S. Rep. Niki Tsongas met with town officials for a tour of the proposed town center site and a discussion of economic issues.
