WayCAM awards two 2012 college scholarships to graduating Wayland High School Seniors

WayCAM, Wayland's Public Access Cable TV station presented its 2012 Annual Scholarship Award this June, to Wayland High School Seniors Evan Barber and Riley Starr, shown here, flanked on the left by Jim Mullane, WayCAM’s Executive Director, and members of the WayCAM Board of Directors, Ken Isaacson (center) and Richard Turner (right). Evan and Riley received their awards for outstanding service in TV production. Evan will be attending Auburn University in Alabama. Riley will be attending Quinnipiac University in Connecticut. Since 2007 WayCAM has awarded nine college scholarships to qualifying graduating seniors. The scholarships are partially funded by annual dues of WayCAM members and local businesses of the Wayland community.  (Note: click on photo for full-size image)

Wayland cable studio moving to new home

Wayland Town Crier 8/11/11: Wayland cable studio moving to new home. Wayland’s public access cable TV station has a new home. With the demolition of its current space in the back of Wayland High School’s Administration Building slated for early next year, WayCam will move into the Weight Room behind the Field House. The floor space of the new premises will be 1,800 square feet. “This is considerably smaller than we would have hoped,” said Ken Isaacson, chairman of WayCam’s Board of Directors, “but the advantage is that it will be planned and laid out according to our needs and specifications, so it will definitely be more efficient.”
