The opening weekend of Stop & Shop, the first establishment in the new Town Center to open for business, was brisk and successful, according to store manager Mike Bussell. “Although it will take us a little while to compile the exact figures, we had thousands of people from Wayland and the surrounding towns,” he said. “And the pre-opening reception on Thursday night drew well over 700 partygoers.”
