Wayland Town Crier 1/15/09: ‘Wayland A-Z’: ‘M’ is for ‘Mellen Law Office’. Wayland’s town green features one of the few surviving examples of a typical two-room law office of the early 19th century. This small white building which faces the Public Safety Building was built by Samuel Hale Mann in 1826, who sold it four years later to Edward Mellen.
