MSBA Offers Clarification to Boston Globe Article “School Building Authority Foresees Funding Shortfall”

Massachusetts School Building Authority 3/26/09: MSBA. The MSBA is working with the 106 communities (including Wayland) that are currently in their capital pipeline to develop an eligible project scope, schedule and cost that the MSBA will reimburse. The MSBA has set aside resources for these potential projects.

Water Department Adds Surcharge

On January 6, 2009, the Wayland Water Department adopted a capital improvement surcharge of $118 per billing cycle for residential accounts and $59 per billing cycle for commercial accounts.    The surcharge amount will be adjusted annually to reflect the principle and interest payments for capital improvements divided by the number of active water accounts.
