Metrowest Daily News 12/1/09: SJC considers Wayland school board's Open Meeting case. A legal tug-of-war dating to 2004 over whether the Wayland School Committee violated the state's Open Meeting Law is under advisement in the state's Supreme Judicial Court, with a decision expected by mid-January. The District Attorney's office appealed a July 2008 decision by a Middlesex Superior Court judge ruling that the Wayland School Committee did not violate Open Meeting Law by discussing Superintendent Gary Burton's evaluation in executive session during two meetings in 2004.
