Domestic Violence Services Network Volunteer Training Opportunity
Collaboration, Connection, Community. DVSN will be holding its Spring Advocate training from March 1, 2010 through March 22, 2010. DVSN is a community-based organization that works in collaboration with the Police Departments of its ten member towns (Acton, Bedford, Boxborough, Carlisle, Concord, Lexington, Lincoln, Maynard, Stow, and Wayland) and Hanscom AFB to combat Domestic Violence. Our Advocates provide direct service to domestic violence survivors over the phone and at Concord District Court. They also work in the community through our outreach and education programs. Our 3-week + 1 day, 40-hour training is held at the Concord Police Department. From March 1-22, 2010 training sessions are on Mondays and Wednesdays from 6:30–9:30pm, and Saturdays from 9am–3:30pm.
