Wayland’s Wadsworth adjusted well at Holy Cross

Wayland Town Crier 6/29/10: Wayland’s Wadsworth adjusted well at Holy Cross. Last fall, Stephen Wadsworth began his collegiate baseball career with what was, for him, an odd set of feelings and emotions: frustration, nervousness and self-doubt. This spring, after a successful season, the outlook is much different. The former Wayland and Buckingham, Browne & Nichols standout athlete now describes specific adjustments to improve his defense, and his goal to win a conference championship. In the span of just a few months, Wadsworth has gone from unsure and tense to a story of somewhat surprising success. A rookie campaign that began on the bench with a young Holy Cross catcher facing his first ever sliders ended with Patriot League Rookie of the Year and a Freshman All-American honors.
