Preview of the August 23 Board of Selectmen Meeting

From Town Administrator Fred Turkington:

The next meeting of the Board of Selectmen will be held on Monday, Aug. 23 in the Town Building.

After considering the consent calendar, reviewing correspondence, and discussing agenda items for future meetings, the board will review the schedule for the fall special Town Meeting and review projected topics for warrant articles.

At approximately 8pm, the selectmen will discuss potential topics and format of the "State of the Town" meeting tentatively scheduled for Wednesday, September 29.  Later, the board will hold a preliminary discussion on objectives and strategies for the year beginning October 1, 2010 and ending Sept. 30, 2011.  In addition, the selectmen will review the status of the court appeal of the town's banishment order of the dog owned by the Frishman family.

The meeting begins at 7 pm in the Selectmen's Meeting Room.

Note the following meeting of the Board of Selectmen is scheduled for Tuesday, September 7 at 7 pm in Town Building.  The selectmen will resume their regular meeting schedule on most Mondays through the fall.
