Playing for Team Central, he was selected to the Baltimore Summer Kickoff All-Star team and ended up taking faceoffs against Virginia-commit Jeff Kratkey. Hart won 8-of-12 draws against one of the nation’s most highly regarded faceoff specialists, prompting his teammates that day to wonder, “Where did this kid come from?” When Hart told them he played for Wayland High in Massachusetts, the dumbfounded looks on the other players’ faces filled him with pride.

She is a researcher at the High Power pumped heat exchanger lab at MIT and a team member in the Design and Manufacturing II Lab. For the past two years, Saxton-Fox has tutored a high school student in Cambridge public housing in math and physics. She was a reviewer in the PSC's IDEAS competition and Global Challenge. Book Review: 14 Minutes

Wall Street Journal 4/6/12: Book Review: 14 Minutes. Alberto Salazar was the last in a troika of American male distance runners—along with Frank Shorter and Bill Rodgers—who ruled the roads in the decade from 1972 to 1982. Mr. Salazar, who had been a high-school champion, won his debut marathon in New York in 1980 while attending the University of Oregon; the next year he broke the marathon world record. A year after that, he was done. Plagued by injuries and illness, Mr. Salazar would never recover his earlier form. The dreams of U.S. distance running died with him. Since that time, no American man has been ranked first in the marathon or won an Olympic gold medal in any distance event.

High school soccer’s elite gathers to kick cancer

Taunton Daily Gazette 10/3/11: High school soccer's elite gathers to kick cancer. One of the more popular sports clichés is the one that says that athletes should play for the name on the front of the jersey, not the one on the back. On Saturday, however, players from the 12 high school boys soccer teams that gathered at Concord-Carlisle High School were encouraged to play for the names on the backs of their jerseys. The reason why they were encouraged to do that was because on Saturday the names on the backs of their jerseys were not their own. Each player, along with each team’s coaches, wore a jersey with the name of someone they knew, a friend, a relative, a loved one, who was affected by cancer.
