Candidate Statement:

I have lived in Wayland for 14 years with my wife, Lisa, and four boys (Andrew – 12, Patrick – 10, Aidan – 7, and Ryan-5). I have 24 years of engineering, project management, sales, and business development experience with a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering. I have served on the Technical Advisory Boards of two startup communication companies.  I’ve been a volunteer coach for numerous Wayland town youth sports programs and also the Vice President of Wayland/Weston Pop Warner Football. I’m a former member of the Board of Road Commissioners, elected back in 2006 and completing my term in 2009 as the town moved to the newly formed Department of Public Works.

My wife and I moved to Wayland back in 1996. It was the halfway point between both of our places of employment. Even though we didn’t have any children at that time, we were aware of the great school system which Wayland had to offer.  14 years and four children later, we have learned to appreciate the uniqueness of Wayland, its excellent school system, and sense of community. We feel so fortunate that we happen to pick this town to have a family.

My professional experience has been focused mainly on technical sales and business development roles of highly strategic products in the telecommunications market. Currently I own my own small business where I do business acceleration & development for international and privately held companies in North America & Europe. The negotiation skills I have developed over my professional life with clients and customers as well as my personal life with 4 boys, enables me to objectively look at multiple sides of an issue and offer solutions that can satisfy all parties.

During my time as Road Commissioner, I brought a common sense approach to the board in developing policy. As an independent voice of the Board of Public Works, I’ll make sure to do my part in setting policy for the better of the town of Wayland and I would welcome your support and vote on May 11th.

Thank you
