Candidate Statement:
I had the good fortune of moving into a Wayland neighborhood comprised of a healthy mix of both young families and older residents who have lived here for decades. This perspective has helped build a strong connection to various facets of the community – Wayland’s history, its present and its future. My family has been in Wayland since 2002, and both my husband and I have volunteered many hours with our children’s schools and extracurricular activities such as the Girl Scouts and Pop Warner.
Throughout my career in marketing and public relations, I have helped companies grow their business by helping them communicate effectively to all their shareholders. Additionally, my job requires analytical thinking, consensus building, strategic development and planning. These skills are transferable to community service: Wayland residents want to know their voices are heard and that their representatives are diligently and thoughtfully addressing both short and long term needs, while maintaining the character that has drawn people to Wayland.
I look forward to serving the town in this new capacity on the Planning Board. Thank you for the opportunity.
