Help make Wayland more walkable

Are you interested in promoting walking? Then come to the Boston Region Metropolitan Planning Organization’s Walkable Community Workshop, Sponsored by the League of Women Voters.
The Wayland Walkable Community Workshop will take place on Wednesday, September 23, 4–6pm at the Large Meeting Room at Wayland Town Building.  The workshop will help participants
to explore typical difficulties that pedestrians encounter and to identify an array of possible solutions specific to Wayland. While the session identifies ways to stimulate more walking, it has an additional outcome— improving Wayland’s livability. The workshop consists of a presentation, a community “walking audit,” and a follow-up session for brainstorming possible options for improvements.  All are invited. There is no charge for attendance. For questions, or to pre-register, contact: Cathy Buckley, Boston Region MPO: 617-973-7118, walkable@ctps.org or Mary Antes, Wayland League of Women Voters,508-358-2571.

  1. With or without the new town center would be great to improve the walkability in wayland. By improving walkability it makes family biking possible. Many people live within a mile or two of whole foods but whos willing to bike down route 20? lets put in the bike/walking path from the library to russells….
