Wayland Town Crier 3/26/10: A beautiful day to run a 5K at Dudley Pond. The beautiful weather on Sunday with a 70-degree temperature and a cool breeze from Dudley Pond made it a perfect day for running. And, if one was running for a good cause, it was all the better. For the 189 runners who participated in the 5K Closer to a Cure event, the day was perfect. The event was organized by Louis Corliss and Kerry Peterson, both of Wayland, who will be running the Boston Marathon next month to further causes they both hold close to their hearts.
