Friday and Saturday, April 9 and 10, Circles in Time, Traditions of Wayland, 7pm

Written by Amalia Canna and Elaine Siegel.   “Circles in Time” is a compelling drama of courage and hope.   It is based on the experiences of Amalia Canna and Elaine V. Siegel.

During the 2nd World War, Elaine was a young Jewish girl in Germany aware of the constant danger surrounding her, while Amalia had similar experiences in Italy. The insidious way in which Hitler’s laws impinged upon and destroyed even healthy families. While Elaine was shuttled from hiding place to hiding place Amalia feared destruction of her home by air raids simultaneously she was appalled by the lives of her aunts who were chained to their weaving rooms.

Today Elaine is an internationally known psychoanalyst and lecturer who has pioneered dance therapy and psychoanalyst from New York to Zurich to Frankfurt to Berlin and Stockholm. Elaine won the Golden Pen Play writing award in 1966 and in she was honored by being named Distinguished Writing Award.

Amalia is a leading Fashion designer with a celebrated international house of design.  Both women take great joy in life and celebrating the lives of their grandchildren.

This will take place at Traditions of Wayland, 10 Green Way, Wayland, MA on Friday, April 9, 2010 and Saturday, April 10, 2010 at 7pm .
