This is the season when those female turtles are determined to cross any road in their path to lay their eggs.   They have been sighted throughout town, including Route 27 near South Cemetery, Pelham Island, Rice Road, Water Row, River Road.  Many of these are snapping turtles, and are large and can be quite dangerous.  Please keep your speed down and stop for turtles in the road.
