Wayland man’s dying wish fulfilled on a Duck Boat

Wayland Town Crier 6/27/10: Wayland man's dying wish fulfilled on a Duck Boat. With the help of Molly Molasses and a special team of wish-granters, 83-year-old Henry Ciarletta got to fulfill a dying dream last week. Onboard the brown Boston "Duck" boat, the ailing cancer patient toured the city he hadn't seen since he retired decades ago from his job as an adman. With a hospice chaplain, EMT and a nurse seated nearby, he took in new and historic tourist sites: the Zakim Bridge, which opened in 2002, Bunker Hill monument, Cheers pub, Newbury Street, the blooming flowers of the Public Garden and the towering walls of TD Garden, with Celtics star Rajon Rondo there on a billboard promoting H1N1 vaccinations. "He hadn't been in Boston for 25 years, he said, and he wanted to know how it had changed," said Jaye Moore, a chaplain with Brookhaven Hospice in Framingham.
