Wayland Town Crier 7/22/10: Wayland Public Schools addressing bullying issues. Ever since the high-profile suicide of 15-year-old Phoebe Prince in January in South Hadley, allegedly after she endured months of abuse and intimidation from her schoolmates, measures to define and address bullying in schools have been uppermost in the minds of parents, teachers and administrators across the state. In Wayland over the past several months, the school community has coalesced around creating a working plan that will not only meet, but exceed, the requirements of the new state law, passed on May 3, while at the same time tailored to the specific needs of the community.
