Wayland Town Crier 9/15/10: Staff, patrons celebrate reopening of Wayland Public Library. Fresh paint, fresh carpeting, and fresh smells are the order of the day at Wayland’s newly refurbished and reopened public library. The facility was shut down in late March after two subsequent weekends of storms that brought record rainfall which inundated the Children’s Room, public rest rooms, offices, and elevator shaft on the lower level. Approximately 200 people attended an open house last Sunday officially marking the reopening.
