Board of Health aiming to keep Wayland healthy

Wayland Town Crier 10/18/10: Board of Health aiming to keep Wayland healthy. The Board of Health is offering inoculations this fall not only for flu, but for pneumonia and Tdap (tetanus, diphtheria and pertussis), for all at-risk populations at no charge.

Flu clinics will be held for residents age 65 and over, or for those age 19 to 64 who have a chronic medical condition such as asthma, diabetes or kidney disease, on Tuesday, Oct. 19 and Thursday, Oct. 21 from 1 to 3 p.m., or Wednesday, Oct. 27 from 3 to 7 p.m.

Residents with children ages 6 months to 18 years may attend on Wednesday, Oct. 20 from 2 to 4 p.m. or on Oct. 27 from 3 to 7 p.m. Both children and parents may be inoculated at that time.

Healthy residents ages 19 to 64 are asked to come from 5 to 7 p.m. on Oct. 27.

Please be sure to bring your insurance cards. All clinics will be in the Large Hearing Room of the Public Safety Building, and they are free.
